My name is Meredith, and I’m horrible at describing myself. Weird, right? A writer who can’t find the best words to sum up who she is and what drives her to put pen to paper or finger to keyboard. I was born and raised in the Midwest, the youngest child of two college professors who gave me a deep and abiding love of books, words, language, and thought. The two most formative experiences of my creative life came at age nine, when I discovered rock n’ roll, and at age eleven, when I began writing. I’m happiest tucked away in the corner of a diner or a dive bar with my headphones on, a pen in my hand, and a cup of coffee next to me.
I’m currently working on a short story collection to be published in 2014. My writing has been published in New Voices Literary Journal, StepAway Magazine, the Minds On Music project, The Story Shack, Emerge Literary Journal, and From the Depths. Click here for links to my work online.
