“A soothing & vital mask that replenishes AC-Soothing Energy to reddened and sensitive skin to make skin healthy.”
Trivia about me: I love dragons. I have a collection of dragon plushies, I have a dragon tattoo, and my cat does a wicked Toothless impression. So, naturally, when I was standing in the checkout line at Ulta and saw a dragon sheet mask, I had to try it.
Instructions
“Wear the mask, follow the cutting leave the eyes and mouth a space. Leave the mask 10 to 20 minutes and take it off. Massage and dab the face gently let the essence absorb into skin cells well.”
What That Actually Means
Wrestle with the slippery folded sheet until it’s more or less face-shaped, then put it on and try not to get anything in your mouth.
…wow, that last bit sounded better in my head. Anyway. *coughs*
The first disappointment came from the design itself. I was promised a dragon, instead I got the love child of a Ninja Turtle and a Luchadore:

I’ve never been sexier.
The second disappointment came with how goopy the mask was. The packaging boasts about its 700ml of coconut water, which sounded nice until it felt like all 700ml were smeared on my fingers and dripping onto my shirt. Sheet masks are by definition a moist experience, but if other brands are a gentle spring rain, this is a downpour.
My face felt sticky and gross after I peeled the dragon off. No refreshment, no ‘ahhhh’ satisfaction. The stickiness lingered after several splashes of water; it took a while before my face actually felt clean.
PROS
- The voicemail of two dear friends cackling like loons after I texted them that selfie.
CONS
- Everything else.
BOTTOM LINE: Will not repurchase. Once was more than enough.
